During the trying & emotional time that was the civil war two men were tasked with the daunting challenge to bring their respective "nations" out of the abhorrent war. Though their goals were polar opposites, they shared one commonality; to end the bloodshed. The confederacy, led by Jefferson Davis, made their sole purpose of this war to maintain the southern way of life, which was a highly agrarian society "dependent" on slave labor. Abraham Lincoln, the true president of the Union, was given the enormous responsibility of maintaining, and saving, the Union which was threatened by the southern secessionists. In this "museum" we will divulge the otherwise overlooked personalities of the leaders of a torn nation through an analysis of various artifacts the two men used during The Civil War.
